THRESHOLD: A SETTING GUIDE

THRESHOLD is a third-party, independent setting for the We're Basically Experts RPG. Within this volume, DM's and players are provided with the history and culture of the land of Threshold, a town on the edge of society and a bridge from the populated countryside into the wild and mysterious fjords of the north; as well as advanced character classes unique to Threshold, encounter tables for journeying in the fjords, a bestiary, and an abbreviated starter-campaign for level 1 players. Ruins, strange spirits, and vast landscapes abound, as Threshold gives way to winding fjords, darkening mists, and the strange, forgotten secrets of the frigid north. 

THRESHOLD has been built for the We're Basically Experts RPG, a lovely, simple, and free RPG system which emulates older versions of the "world's most popular roleplaying game," and blends mechanics from modern play to create a uniquely gritty, dangerous, and versatile play system. But being that We're Basically Experts RPG is so versatile, this Setting Guide is equally capable for use, with no conversion necessary, for games of SHADOWDARK RPG as well as games of Old School Essentials and other Retro-Clones.  Happy gaming!
